Socialgames Open Tournament — Volumes I–VI
Six consecutive quarterly community-sport activations over two years, delivered by the YiB × SYBA cohort. Informal adoption of Pongolin Park; planned conversion into a sport-supported KYDS Hub.
At a glance
On record
The Socialgames Open Tournament is the longest-running programme in YiB's track record — six consecutive quarterly community-sport activations from 2023 to 2025 at Pongolin Park in Theresa Park, Pretoria North.
The programme blends netball, soccer, vendor stalls, and community walks; it has informally adopted the park as a stewarded community asset, attracted recurring institutional partners (City of Tshwane, Wonderpark Shopping Centre, Masa Aqua, Gypsy Solutions), and is the validated site for a future sport-supported KYDS Hub.
Beyond the impact, the programme is operational evidence: six instalments without dropping a beat is the kind of repeatable delivery institutional underwriters look for when assessing whether a team can actually run things at scale. The track record also opens a sport-and-recreation vertical for the KYDS hub network — a product line not initially covered in the original Business Bible.
