On record
The SYBA × SEDA / SEDFA incubation programme put a 30-strong cohort of young entrepreneurs from the Southern Youth Business Association through six structured incubation sessions running from October 2024 to March 2025.
Content was delivered by SEDA (now SEDFA after the 2024 SEFA merger) in partnership with SARS, the National Credit Regulator, CIPC, and the Gauteng Office of Consumer Affairs — covering tax compliance, credit and consumer regulation, IP and company filings, and trade-readiness.
The partnership reflects the institutional credentials of the YiB founder, who serves as Treasurer of SYBA. This is the first event in the YiB track record where capacity-building moved from one-off engagement to a structured, multi-week, regulator-grade programme — exactly the format DFI underwriters look for when assessing pipeline maturity.
